ZERADERM is a prorietary silicone polymeric compound in a gel form specifically formulated for the management of keloids, hypertropic scars and associated erythema. ZERADERM contains a proprietary ratio of large molecular weight polysiloxane silicone molecules balanced with oligomeric isomers. Upon exposure to air, ZERADERM forms an invisible air permeable, water repellent membrane.
The silicone compounds used in ZERADERM are the same as those used to coat certain oral medications such as coated cold tablets and cosmetics like lipstick and deodorants. |
